Jigzi

Jigzi. So special. She was found by my pastor and his wife and they asked if we would like to take her. She gets to stay in the house ♥ She is older now but comes to see me every night when I am working or I have food. She loves lettuce and cheese and bananas! Well the banana peel lol. She is unique and does not want to be bothered by anyone else. She keeps to herself. But she is loving and kind to humans ♥

Callie

Callie. Such a sweet tiny girl. She is her mama's girl through and through. Together most all of the time, except when her mama hides to be alone. She has a kind and gentle soul and keeps to herself besides seeking out her mama.

Baby

This cat...his story. I got a call that there were 2 kittens that needed a home. Both of the owners were arrested and the kittens were left in the house. When we got there, there was just one kitten...Baby. The sliding glass door was left open and the other kitten left. But Baby just sat there waiting for someone to come back. That says everything who he is. He is dramatic, loving, silly and cuddly (only when he wants to be). He has a very strong will to be where he wants when he wants for as long as he wants. No one is going to boss him around. He is his own cat!

Bean

Bean came to our sanctuary in 2024 with one of his other family members, Tootsie. His owner was tragically killed in an automobile accident, and they could not find a home for the 2 cats. Clearly he was very loved by his owner. He is sweet and kind and wants to be loved. It is a difficult transition to move from an individual owner to the sanctuary. He is coming around and we are sure he will continue to feel safe as time goes on and we continue to love on him. He holds a special place in our heart as we are sure it is much more of a difficult transition and he wonders where his owner is and why he was left.

Bella

Oh sweet Bella. She is one of the precious WE ARE SEVEN. Dropped off at our front gate clinging to life. Every single day you fought to hold on and here you are. Beautiful, sweet and kind. You are so precious, and we are so grateful that you are here to share your light with us and the sanctuary. Our gift from above.

Benji

Benji...came to our sanctuary with 5 other siblings. The owner had to give them up because she had a terminal illness. He is very close to all of his siblings and loves them all day every day. His favorite is Lover Boy. He has a very quiet soul and does not bother anyone. He has some health concerns and challenges but overall he does well and loves his life in the sanctuary.

Bobo

Bo Bo came to our sanctuary over 10 years ago. We were trapping a group of cats down the street to try and save them, and we did not know he existed until he got in the trap. He was not happy. He was the true definition of a feral tom cat. He wanted to kill us. After he was neutered, he went out to the sanctuary. Whenever we saw him, we would do our "sweet talk" and his reply would be a hiss and a growl and I am going to hurt you! About 6 months later, when we were feeding, a cat came up and rubbed against our legs. It was Bo Bo. The rest of the story is history. He is a lover. He went through stages and now he is friendly to everyone and people can even pick him up. Truly one of our best victories was bringing him "home"!

Mr. Bo Jangles

His story...we thought he was someone else! My neighbor lost his daughters cat. I said no problem, I will set a trap with food and we will get him. Yay we found him! My neighbor came over and said "no that is not him!" Well Mr. Bo Jangles went into the sanctuary and we never found the neighbors cat! He is shy and scared but he meows to us, LOVES his treats every morning and eats when he wants to!

Callie

Callie is a sweet special girl. Her mom is Sweet Thing and she is still with us. Callie has lost 2 brothers, Archie and Midnight, but her sister Gracie and brother Mama's Boy are still here. Callie's favorite thing is her mom and PATTE. Lately her mom has wanted to be by herself so Callie has been looking for alternative cuddle partners. She is kind girl and cries when she needs something. One of our best girls.

Changa

Changa came to us over 10 years ago. He was with 5 other cats. The owner had a terminal illness and nowhere to go. She clearly had taken very good care of the cats. They are all very loving. He is currently in line waiting for a dental proceduer which he is in great need of. He is closest to his brother, Chimi. Chimi

Chimi, the resident greeter... he will greet you happily every time if you are first timer. Beware...lovingly with his claws on your legs. He is loving, kind and sweet. He came here with his brother Changa. They love each other and they are inseparable. Chimi loves attention and love. Check them out on the family page.

Chloe

Chloe, also known as Rascal, Lily and Luna's mom...she showed up 4 years ago very pregnant. She walked in the door and has never looked back. She is a very quiet cat. She was a great mom and loved her babies well. She lived with all of the kittens and was always good to everyone. She is never mean. She lives happily in the sanctuary going in and outside as she desires. From time to time she feels under the weather, but a little antibiotic and she clears right up. We love our Chloe. Cleo

Cleo was born here. He is a son of Pretty Girl. He keeps to himself mostly. He loves fancy feast. Sometimes he will sleep on the blankets with his siblings but mostly he loves to go in the kitten room and hideaway on a blanket. He is quiet and reserved but sweet.

Dior

Dior, one of the designer babies. He is full of energy and life just like his siblings. He runs in and out of the kitten room living his best life. He likes to eat and play. And sleep! Those are some of this favorite things besides his siblings. More on the family page.

Dolce

Dolce, one of the moms, with the beginning designer series. Her babies are, Louis, Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci and Prada. All boys. She is very scared and timid and has slightly come around in the 2 years she has been here. She had a very difficult start. She lost one of her babies and that was very traumatic for her. She does not fight with anyone and keeps to herself besides her babies. More on the family page.

Elfie

Elfie, what an amazing gift! Christmas night 2022! That is how he got his name. The perfect Christmas gift. Loving and kind. Easily adapted to the sanctuary and loves it here. He is very comfortable. He is home. He is an amazing cat and a great addition to the sanctuary. He is loved!!!

Frosty

Frosty, part of We are Seven. He earned his name because he is all black except for one little white toe on his back foot. He was very close to his brother Bear who passed away last year and it took him a while to get over that loss. He can be a little bit of a bully, but you call his name and he turns around and says, Who me?? Cute as a button. Loving and kind and loves to snuggle with his brother Jerry who is just as big as him. More on the family page.

Gracie

Gracie is special. She has no idea how small she is and she demands attention. Her meow is very distinct. Her mom is Sweet Thing and she had 4 siblings, Mama's Boy and Callie and Archie and Midnight. She loves her mom and cuddling with her siblings. She is bossy with an attitude but so dang cute, you have to love her.

Gucci

Gucci, yes part of the designer series. He owns his black and white. He has always been the leader in his family. He does not really boss around but his main focus is attention and love. He can be a little scared of new people but other than that he finds his way around to play and eat and love. More on the family page.

Henry

Henry, he was born here, his mom and dad are still alive and he has 4 siblings. Moe, Chelsea, Mister and Mosie. Chelsea and Mister are in heaven. He is a Maine Coon size cat which you can probably tell from his photo. He has an attitude to match. Don't touch me but pet me and love me. He comes when you call his name all the time and is there for feeding time. He does not fight with anyone but he loves to cuddle with his friends. More about him and his family in the family area.

Hermes

Hermes, is a daughter to Gabana (part of the designer series). She has 5 siblings. One of them passed away at birth and the others are, Rolex, Dior, Versace and Armani. She was very shy but she has warmed up and will let you pet her, she comes when you call her and she loves treats! She has a very kind soul.

Jackson

Jackson came to us as a grown cat. He showed up and was pretty feral. He has since moved himself out of the VIP room and moves around the entire sanctuary very comfortably. He goes outside, sleeps inside or outside at night. He comes in to eat his wet food at night at a special place on the shelf. He will not let you pet him as he is still learning to trust humans. Sometimes he still likes to go in the VIP room to visit his old friends. Super sweet.

James

James, I don't know how people let these cats go. James is awesome. He has been since the day he came to the sanctuary. Friendly, loving and kind. He loves to be loved. He will only eat his chicken or tuna appetizer at night. Nothing else. he knows exactly where to go to get it and he is totally confident that he will. He is a lover. He loves everybody and is not scared. An absolutely amazing cat!

Jasmine

Oh Ms. Jasmine! Someone told me that they saw a cat that we were trying to find. My emotional support cat from my house. We set up the trap and needless to say, it was NOT ROSIE. Jasmine does not remotely look like her. But what she was is pregnant. Unfortunately, she got a major upper respiratory infection and lost all 3 of her babies. Her heart was broken, our hearts were broken. Since then, she has acclimated quite nicely. She now goes in and out of the kitten room. She goes outside and comes running when you call her because she knows it is usually about food. She loves the homemade chicken soup and she cries until you feed her. She is a special girl and we are happy that she is a part of the sanctuary!

Jerry

Jerry, part of We are Seven! Jerry is amazing. Ha! A bully sometimes like Frosty but he is usually very kind and loving. He LOVES his tummy rubbed and loves warm cuddly blankets. He loves chicken and tuna soup. Since he has been born he has struggled with an upper respiratory infection. He will have it for the rest of his life. There is no way to get rid of it. They were without their mom at 2 weeks old and almost died. So they have no immune system. They are all lovers and more about them on the family page.

Levi

Levi, has not been here that long. We captured him the same night as Eclipse. So I think they hung out together. Levi has acclimated quite well to the sanctuary. He will not let us pet him, but he moves around the sanctuary quite nicely. He loves pate and fish based foods. Sometimes he does not feel good if it is really humid outside and he has to stay in the air-conditioning. He keeps to himself for the most part now and goes outside and inside at his leisure. He is quite happy to be here and living his best life.

Lloyd

Lloyd was born here. He is a sweet boy. He is shy and keeps to himself except for cuddling. He loves to cuddle with his buddies at night and during the day at nap time. Other than that, he loves his fancy feast! We have many photos of him cuddling with his buddies that will be on the family page. He loves well and we love him.

Lover Boy

Loverboy came to us with 5 of his friends. His owner was terminally ill and had no where to go and asked if I would take these cats for her. She obviously loved them well because they are all very loving cats. Loverboy is the true definition of his name. All he does is love. He is a quiet boy and he is kind and all he wants is love. We always find him loving on other cats and cuddling. He is always only love.

Lucy

Lucy came to us in 2023. Someone found her at their house and she got her spayed and had intended to keep her. However her other cats in the house did not accept her and somehow she found me....not sure how. Lucy was shy when she came to the sanctuary and did not know anything about wet food. Now she goes in and out of the kitten room, enjoys sunshine outside, and eats wet food! She keeps to herself. We can pet and love on her and she is very quiet. We are so happy that she is here and safe and happy!

Mama Queen

We call her Mama Queen. And we have Papa. They gave us 5 gorgeous babies, Henry, Mister, Chelsea, Mosie and Moe! They are all very loving and kind...and lovers. All of them. There will be more about this family on the family page, but we will tell you that Mama and Papa know everything that goes on with their babies. They all loved to be loved.

Mama

Mama, has been with us over 10 years. She has 2 babies. Garfield and Odie. More about them on the family page. She almost died when she was giving birth. She had other babies but they died during birth at the emergency hospital. She had a stroke during labor. She is living her best life in the VIP room. She loves her tuna appetizer for dinner and LOVES to curl under blankets. She is very loving and kind to her buddies and is kind of squirly to the touch of a human. We are so grateful she gave us Garfield and Odie and that she is doing well.

Mama's Boy

Mama's Boy is a baby of Sweet Thing. He has 4 siblings. Gracie, Callie, Midnight and Archie. Their mom is still her but we lost Archie and Midnight last year. They have a very strong family unit and there will be more about them on the family page. Mama's Boy is ALL LOVE. He loves to be loved. He loves to love his siblings and mom. He is a sanctuary favorite for everyone who comes to visit. He has been sick lately and hopefully is making a recovery.

Mel

Mel came to us with Pearl. She was adopted by the YMCA camp in Keystone from the Clay County Animal Center. Unfortunately, management changed and they could not keep them anymore and they asked me to take them. Mel is living her best life. We are so happy that she is safe at the sanctuary. She loves her "private" bowl of fancy feast, pate and sheba! She keeps to herself for the most part and she loves to be loved by humans.

Mira

Mira, spanish for look! She was a surprise many years ago. We did not know her mom was pregnant and there she was. She has always been petite. She loves her compadres and they can be found sleeping together often. She is finicky and bouncy when she eats. She loves her whiskas in the morning and her fancy feast at night. We love that she is our special surprise gift in the sanctuary.

Moe

Moe is part of the Mama Queen and Papa family. He has 4 siblings, Chelsea, Mister, Henry and Mosie. He is very vocal about eating. He cries and meows until you give him his pate! That is all he wants. He LOVES to be loved! He cuddles with his crew during the day and night. There will be more info on the family page.

Mosie

Mosie is part of the Mama Queen and Papa clan. Her siblings are Moe, Mister, Henry and Chelsea. She knows her name. Just call it and she will answer her. That is how you find her. She loves eating and her pate. She wants to eat morning and night. She is very kind and loving but does not want to share her food. We are so thankful for her. There will be more about her on the family page.

Odie

Odie is the baby of Mama and her sibling is Garfield. She is loving and kind and loves to find her way around the sanctuary including snoozing in the kitten room. She mostly keeps to herself for sleeping and really loves to be loved. There will be more about her on the family page.

OJ

OJ. Oh how we love OJ. He showed up outside at the barn and followed us around. He found his way home. He never doubted for a moment that he belonged here. He chose us. He loves the sanctuary and is very very comfortable going into each room and taking naps. He loves the entire sanctuary and for sure this is home for him. He eats well and mostly keeps to himself. We are so very grateful that he is here.

Oliver

Oliver, our orange male kitty. He has come around quite nicely. Rescued on the porch and very scared and timid for a long time. He goes to the same place to eat every night and patiently waits for his food to be delivered to him. He comes and goes from the VIP room around the sanctuary and outside. He allows us to pet him but still not sure about new people. He loves his posse in the VIP room but mostly keeps to himself. We love our Oliver and we are so grateful he is home.

Olivier

Olivier. Previously named Olivia when he was caught because he was so pretty that we thought he was a girl. Until the vet told us that he was a boy. We had to think quick on our feet and came up with Olivier. He has come around quite nicely. Very feral when we rescued him but he has made the sanctuary his home. He finds his way in and out of the VIP room and inside and outside. We can pet him just a little bit until he realizes that we are touching him. We are grateful that he has found his way home.

Panda

Panda was rescued down the street. She was pregnant and has been very feral since we caught her. She used to hiss when you tried to talk to her or pet her, but now she actually thinks about letting us pet her. She has become comfortable going in and out of the VIP room and she loves to go outside. She has her posse in her room but also has her favorites to cuddle with. We are grateful that she has decided to call the sanctuary home.

Papa

Papa, the big Daddy. He gave us 5 beautiful gorgeous babies with Mama Queen. Mosie, Mister, Henry, Moe and Chelsea. Papa was very feral when he was caught. Now you can pick him up, love on him, give him medicine and feed him. He will be on the family page with mama and her babies, but we are so grateful he chose us and he is home. We love that he is part of our sanctuary.

Pearl

Pearl came with Mel from the YMCA camp in Keystone. They were rescued from the Clay County Animal Control. Unfortunately, the management changed and they could not keep them anymore. They asked if we could take them. Pearl has been skiddish since she came here but she has a funny routine she does when it is feeding time. When you sit at the table, she give you a back rub and wants to sit on your lap. She keeps to herself but she likes to be loved on her terms. We are grateful that we were able to save her and bring her home.

Pretty Girl

Beautiful Pretty Girl. She knows her name. She was feral when we caught her and pregnant. She loves to be loved on. She loves her warming pads every night. She mostly keeps to herself but she loves warm, comfy blankets. We are grateful that we have her to love. She is kind and sweet and would like more attention than what she gets.

Princess too

Princess Too came to us with her other friends because her owner had a terminal illness and she needed someone to take her babies. She was with Benji, Loverboy, Missy Kitty, Chimi and Changa. They are all very loving and kind. They often find each other to cuddle with but Princess Too mostly keeps to herself. She has a chronic illness that blocks her airways and that may be why she sleeps by herself. We love her very much and we are so grateful that we get to take care of her.

Rolex

Rolex is part of the designer series. His mom is Gabana and his siblings are Hermes, Dior, Versace and Armani. Rolex had a heart on is chest when he was a baby. It has gotten a little more white as he has gotten older but you can still see it. He finds his way in and out of the kitten room and all around the sanctuary. He is living his best life. There will be more information on the family page. We are grateful for him.

Sassafras

Sassafras came to us as an abandoned kitten. Her entire family was killed on a farm, in front of her, and she survived by hiding under a wood pile. Her name says it all. She lives in the house because she does not like a lot of other cats. She needs her alone time. LOL. She has character and personality oozing out of her. She has come a long way since she has been here, and we are grateful that she was smart enough to save her own life. We won't forget what she has been through. She is safe and she is home.

Skye

Skye was very feral when she came here. Now she can be loved and cared for. You can give her medication. She loves her Sheba and fancy feast. She loves to cuddle with her posse in the VIP room. She mostly stays in the safety of her room but sometimes she wanders out into the sanctuary. She is very kind and loves to be loved. We are grateful that she is home in the sanctuary.

Toby

Toby is undercover and works for a company that does not like plastic bags. LOL You can look at it 2 ways....he either loves plastic bags and that is why he attacks them or he hates them lol. But the one thing you can count on is that if you bring out a bag, Toby will be right there. He definitely has a mischievous spirit. He was born here, and lived here with his Mom and siblings. His Mom is still alive and he lost his brother, Batman last year. He has a kind soul and hangs out with everyone.

Tom

Tom is part of the group, We Are Seven. He is kind and has a great heart. He gets a little spooky with others and always is suspicious of what you want to do to him. But when you call his name, he comes running...especially for morning treats! He lost one of his siblings last year, which was tragic to the entire group. His best friend is his brother Jerry. There will be more on the family page.

Tootsie

Tootsie arrived last year with her friend, Bean. Their owner passed away suddenly in a tragic car accident. The transition was very difficult for them. You can tell that they were very close to their owner and she loved them well. They have now acclimated but we still try to give them extra kisses. They are very special to us and we never forget what they have been through.

Tres

Our sweet beautiful, Tres. She is the sister to Uno. They lost their brother last year, Dos and their Mom, Mama Heart. Tres is a kind soul. She loves her tummy rubbed and loves attention. She also loves Beef Pate. She gets very upset if you don't have it ready for her. She is spoiled and a princess. And we love her so very much.

Vuitton

Vuitton, is part of the designer series. He is a baby from Dolce. He was very sick when he was born and he fought hard to be here. He has a very kind and sweet heart. He loves hanging out with the older kitties and cuddling. He is a lover through and through. More about him and his siblings on the family page.
