FOREVER FAMILIES

Just like any other family, they want to stay together, if they are given the chance. They have proven over and over again that their love runs deep and forever. Whether it is siblings or their mom or cats they have grown up with, they want to stay connected. Click on these families to find out more.

MAMA QUEEN

Mama showed up pregnant with her husband, Sweet Pea. She quickly had her babies, Sugar, Casper and Sammy. They were together always and were inseparable. Mama outlived all of her babies. She lived until she was 21.

SWEETIE

We found Sweetie at another farm. She had 4 babies in tow. Charlie, Chaplain, Daisy and Princess. Sweetie has outlived all her babies. She is currently living on hospice care. She was extremely close to her last baby Princess who went home in 2023. They were always together. She hasn’t been the same since Princess left.

SWEET THING

Our sweet sweet girl! Such a precious Sweet Thing. She showed up at the sanctuary pregnant. She had 5 babies here, Archie, Midnight, Mama’s Boy, Callie and Gracie. She is currently on hospice care for high blood pressure and a low heart rate. She is extremely close to all of her babies. Archie and Midnight went home in 2023. When Archie passed away, she went immediately to him and wrapped her tail around him. We watched the entire thing on a video. It was one of the most amazing things we have seen. Losing them so early took a toll on her and has truly broken her heart.

MAMA & PAPA

Mama & Papa were rescued together, soon to find out that Mama was pregnant. Mama had 5 babies. Mister, Chelsea, Henry, Moe and Mosie. She has lost Mister and Chelsea. They are the sweetest cats ever, all of them! Mister and Chelsea went home recently. Mama lives in a room called the VIP room. When Mister got sick with cancer and was on hospice care, near the end she ran out of the VIP room every day. She went to him every day and laid with him outside on the blanket. She never left his side. When he went home, she went back in the VIP room and only comes out once in a while, but usually for a moment. She did all of this on her own. It really was beautiful to watch this Mama going to her forever baby everyday to comfort him. We will never forget it.

WE ARE SEVEN

One day there they were. Changing our life forever. Bear, Frosty, Tom, Jerry, Zee, Zoe & Bella. Someone dropped off at our gate, 7 babies. 2 weeks old and barely alive. Totally covered in fleas, in their ears, eyebrows and over their entire body. They were struggling. We brought in some people to help and spent hours and hours bathing them in dish soap, getting them warm and dry and pulling each and every flea off. They survived after hours and hours and days and days of intensive care. Forever brothers and sisters. We lost Bear in 2023, way too EARLY! Shattering our hearts forever!

DESIGNER SERIES

Two Girls showed up together at the sanctuary. Very scared. We did not know at the time because they were so young, but they were both pregnant. We soon saw their tummies growing. They both had extremely difficult deliveries. They both lost one of their babies. We named them Dolce and Gabana…and so their babies names followed suit. Dolce’s babies…Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Louis, Vuitton. Gabana’s babies…Rolex, Hermes, Dior, Versace, Armani. They have had a difficult start in life but are making their way through with their mamas.

Just Plain Love

These cats love each other in ways we can’t possibly understand. They are an example of what love really is. Unconditional, soothing, Cuddly love. Our hope in sharing these photos with you is that you can feel what we see every single day.
